Diane Bohn of Buffalo died suddenly at her home on Oct. 4. She was 61.
Born in Pittsburgh, Pa., she grew up in Amherst. The former Diane Crean attended Amherst High School and went on to study nursing at D'Youville College earning her registered nursing degree, Bachelor of Science in nursing and her Master of Science.
After college, Mrs. Bohn worked for Roswell Park Cancer Institute as an Intensive Care Unit nurse for 12 years. She then went to work for Staff Builders, Alternative Living Services and finally Lifetime Care. She also served on the WNY Alzheimer’s Association Board.
She married her husband, Paul, in 1989 and enjoyed traveling to New York City and Portland, Maine, with him. She especially enjoyed taking drives to Niagara-on-the-Lake.
Her husband, Paul, died in February. She is survived a daughter, Sarah; a son, P.J.; brothers, Tom and Bob; and two granddaughters.
A celebration will be held in her honor on at 6 p.m. on Jan. 14 at Pearl Street Brewery, 76 Pearl St. in Buffalo.
