Not a yes, but not a no
I ran into City Comptroller Mark Schroeder Monday as he was heading out of City Hall
"You running for mayor?" I asked him.
I didn't get a "yes" or a "no." But Schroeder acknowledged he's interested in the job, and said he'll have an announcement of some kind sometime after the November presidential election.
When Brown's away
I just saw a memo that Mayor Brown - who is also chairman of the state Democratic Party - has been out of the state for a few days, and will be back Tuesday or Wednesday. I'm hearing he's been in Florida, helping out the Clinton campaign. As usual, Tim Ball, the city's top attorney, has been in charge during Brown's absence.
In case you missed my NYC Tim Hortons tweet yesterday...
I was coming back from Dunkin Donuts-obsessed New York City Monday, and passed what is the only Tim Hortons I've ever seen in New York City, the one up the stairs from the LIRR Jamaica Station, in the entrance way to the JFK Airport Air Train.
After I posted it, I got a response from my colleague Colin Dobkowski telling me there's also one in mid-town, across from the Empire State Building.
If anyone else has spotted one anywhere else in New York City, let me know.
