Winslow Avenue woman, 52, arrested after stabbing

A Winslow Avenue woman was arrested by Buffalo police shortly after she allegedly stabbed a man during an argument early Monday.

Beverly Alston, 52, was arrested shortly after she allegedly stabbed the man in his upper right thigh with a pocket knife at the Quick Stop Market Store at 1198 East Ferry St., at about 1:20 a.m., according to Buffalo police.

She was charged with second-degree assault and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon, Buffalo police said.

The victim obtained medical treatment. Alston remained in custody at the Erie County Holding Center on Monday night.
