Police charge Dunkirk man with firing gun early Sunday

DUNKIRK - Police charged a Dunkirk man with firing a pistol at another person early Sunday morning.

Raven Bush, 37, of Deer Street is accused of firing a shot in front of 613 Columbus Ave. at about 4:30 a.m., according to Dunkirk police.

Officers were already in the area responding to another disturbance at the time the shot was fired. Officers recovered the gun and took Bush into custody, police said.

Bush was charged with second- and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon and second-degree menacing. He was arraigned by Dunkirk City Court Judge Walter Drag and held without bail.

Fredonia police and State police assisted in the investigation.
