Six arrested in vehicle near Buffalo State charged with possessing crack cocaine

Buffalo police pulled over a speeding car at Rockwell Road at the rear of Buffalo State College Thursday morning and arrested four women and two men on drug and other charges about 2:30 a.m.  Thursday.  Officers said they baggies of crack cocaine in the vehicle.

Arrested and charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance were:

Dolores A. Fernandez, 32, of Plymouth Avenue.; Dante Pierino, 19, of Newfield Street.; Danielle A. Barnett, 22, of Grant Street.; Brittany T. Shepard, 22, of Wanda Avenue, Cheektowaga.; Elijah X. Abrams, 23, of Baynes Avenue. and  Krystle Johansen, 23, of Grant Street.

Fernandez also was charged with speeding, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and driving with her front vision impaired.

Police said Pierino initially lied to police officers about his identity. Officers said they found heroin in his pants pocket. He also was charged with second-degree forgery and false impersonation.
