NIAGARA FALLS - A 25-year-old woman was taken to Erie County Medical Center after she was struck by a car at the intersection of Main Street and Niagara Avenue at about 5:45 p.m. Friday, according to police.
The woman was crossing Main Street in front of a stopped bus at the intersection when she was struck by a car driven by a 55-year-old Niagara Falls man, according to Capt. Angela Munn, commander of the Niagara Falls Police Traffic Division.
An initial investigation indicated that the driver, traveling north on Main, had a green light and that the bus may have obstructed the view of both the motorist and pedestrian, according to Munn.
The pedestrian was listed in stable condition late Friday, according to Munn. The police department's crash management team is continuing to investigate the incident, she said.
No charges had been filed as of late Friday.
