A flash flood watch is in effect for Cattaraugus, Allegany, Wyoming and Genesee counties until 4 p.m., according to the National Weather Service.
A flash flood watch means the threat of flooding exists along rivers and creeks, the weather service said.
Between 1/4 and 1/2 an inch of rain is possible in the immediate Buffalo area during the day on Friday, with the high temperature expected to reach about 53. On Friday night, another tenth to quarter of an inch of rain is possible, according to the weather service.
The high temperature on Saturday is expected to reach the upper 40s.
