Miami Dolphins head coach Adam Gase spent three years in Western New York during his childhood and briefly attended Williamsville South High School.
Gase, 38, recalled some of his Buffalo memories Wednesday on a conference call with local media ahead of Sunday's Bills-Dolphins matchup.
"That feels like forever ago," Gase said. "I think I was there three years. I remember high school a little bit but I don’t remember much before that. I remember going to a lot of Buffalo Bills games with my dad when Jim Kelly and those guys were still playing.
"That was fun to be around just because they were so good. Watching those offenses back then was impressive. You just felt like the ball was moving up and down the field the whole time. Just remembering how dominating that defense was."
Gase said he spent one year at Williamsville South before his family moved to Michigan. The school's Twitter account found a yearbook picture from 1992 and posted it online last month.
