OLEAN – An Olean woman is charged with first-degree assault and third-degree criminal possession of a weapon in the stabbing Friday of her boyfriend, State Police said.
Angelica Baird, 24, was taken into custody at Olean General Hospital, where she was being treated for a non-life-threatening stab wound in her lower back, authorities said. The victim's name was not released.
State Police said the attack occurred during an argument on Route 16 in the Town of Hinsdale.
Baird was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in Little Valley without bail during her arraignment in Allegany Town Court, State Police said.
