Local Restaurant Week features mix of new stars, old favorites

Next week, more than 200 independently owned restaurants will try to make new fans during Local Restaurant Week.

The fall edition of the biannual promotion runs from Oct. 17-23. Participating restaurants, ranging from pizzerias to white-tablecloth fine dining, offer specials priced at $20.16, $30.16 and $40.16.

“Serving great dishes inspired by local recipes and ingredients is just part of the equation,” Roycroft Inn manager Dan Garvey said in a press release. “Visiting a local independent restaurant like ours is also a chance for people to really immerse themselves in the unique art, architecture and history of Western New York. We carry on a proud heritage.”

New participants include Raclettes; Deep South Taco; Thin Man Brewery; The Mahony; Pasion; Amherst Pizza & Ale House; Mandarin Garden, Tonawanda; La Cascata at Seneca Niagara Casino, Niagara Falls; The Press Box, Lackawanna; Doc Sullivan’s; Midtown Kitchen; The Dock Waterfront Bar & Grill, Blasdell.

Also, Giaccobi’s Cucina Citta; Crazy Jake’s, North Tonawanda; Forestview, Depew; The Gardenview, West Seneca; Cozy Thai, Hamburg; Bobby J’s Italian American Grill, Cheektowaga; Spices of India, Williamsville; and Pegasus Family Restaurant, Hamburg.
