Venue switch for two football games involving city teams

Section VI football chairman Ken Stoldt announced that two football games involving Buffalo Public Schools teams will change venues.

South Park's huge Class A South clash at 7 p.m. Friday against Iroquois has been moved to All High Stadium after being originally scheduled for Riverside High School's Dingboom Field.

The Lewiston-Porter at Burgard game has been moved from All High to Dingboom at 7 p.m. Friday.

The winner of the South Park-Iroquois game clinches a playoff berth with the loser needing help from other teams in the division to slip into the playoffs.

South Park, Bennett and McKinley are all 4-1 in division with Iroquois and West Seneca East each a game back of those three. Iroquois holds the head-to-head tiebreaker on WSE after last week's win over the Trojans. WSE holds head-to-head tiebreaker over South Park. Bennett, which visits Lake Shore on Friday, has wins over McKinley, Iroquois and WSE but lost to South Park.

Burgard also needs to win in order to make the playoffs in Class B.
