The Erie County Sheriff's Office last week promoted 11 supervisors in its Jail Management Division.
Paul Evans was elevated to first deputy superintendent and Phil Kuppel became chief, the sheriff's office announced.
The Erie County Holding Center has a new captain, two new lieutenants and three new sergeants. Paul Gilinski was promoted to captain, while Jim Bayls and Justin Adamek became lieutenants.
The three new sergeants are Cheryl Doxbeck, Anthony D'Aloisio and Brenda Duszynski-Marcus.
At the Erie County Correctional Facility in Alden, Pete Priester was named corrections captain, Michael Stribing was named corrections lieutenant and Richard Stickney became corrections sergeant.
This class of 11 is the largest promotion class in the Jail Management Division during Sheriff Timothy Howard's tenure, the sheriff's office said.
