Casimir “Casey” Pazik, retired Bell Aerospace worker

Aug. 2, 1929 – Oct. 5, 2016

Casimir “Casey” Pazik, of West Amherst, a retired Bell Aerospace worker and former Erie County sheriff’s deputy, died Wednesday in Buffalo General Medical Center after a short illness. He was 87.

Born in North Tonawanda, one of 10 children, he left North Tonawanda High School to enlist in the Marine Corps in 1946. He served stateside for two years and attained the rank of private first class.

Returning from service, Mr. Pazik worked for 40 years for Bell Aerospace, where he was a tool clerk. He retired in the early 1990s.

A resident of Black Rock and North Buffalo before moving to Amherst in the 1990s, he also worked for 14 years as a deputy in the 1970s and 1980s.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, the former Theresa Guszkowski; a son, Robert; two daughters, Susan DiPalma and Elaine; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Pius X Catholic Church, 1700 North French Road, Getzville.
