With a popular patio overlooking the Buffalo River and a menu hinging on seafood dishes, Liberty Hound was a summer-focused destination that closed in late fall and reopened in mid-April.
Now, with Buffalo's Canalside booming with major events and attracting new vendors, restaurant owners Jason Davison and Mike Shatzel have chosen to stay in business year-round, they announced on their Facebook page.
To celebrate the change, Liberty Hound is promoting its month-long Oktoberfest, which features a German-themed menu that includes schnitzel, a sausage plate, potato pancakes and a brat burger.
Liberty Hound, at 1 Naval Park Cove, will be open from noon to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and noon to 8 p.m. Sunday. There's free parking in the shared lot across the street.
