Marsha Joy Sullivan, who served as Nardin Academy’s 23rd president from 2008 to 2014, has agreed to return to the top post at the independent school in the Elmwood Village.
She has filled in as interim president since last February following the departure of John Thomas West III, who had been named president in 2015.
“My heart and soul is with Nardin and I’m honored to return,” Sullivan said. “While I never really ‘retired,’ I am excited to continue the work, based on the school’s strategic plan, that we’ve been immersed in recently.”
Sullivan announced that Rebecca Reeder, Nardin’s high school principal, has been promoted to senior vice president of academics to oversee programs throughout the academy. A search will begin for a new principal.
Also promoted was Leslie Johnson, Nardin’s vice president of finance and operations. She will become senior vice president of finance and operations and will be responsible for all of the school’s operational needs.
