Delaware North, the international concessions and hospitality giant based in Buffalo, has named Carlos Bernal president of Delaware North Sportservice, its subsidiary that manages food, beverage and retail operations in more than 50 sports facilities.
Bernal has served as chief operating officer and interim president of the company’s flagship operating company since November, when he replaced John Wentzell. As president of Sportservice, the company said, he oversees and strategically directs a subsidiary that operates concessions in stadiums, arenas and ballparks across this country, including both New Era Field and KeyBank Center.
Bernal worked for Sportservice for five years in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Before returning to Delaware North in 2015, Bernal was CEO of Wagamama North America, the Japanese-inspired restaurant chain.
