To mark the start of sales for season tickets, special event packages and group party areas, the Buffalo Bisons have unveiled a "30 Seasons Logo" that will be used by the club throughout the 2017 season as it celebrates the 30th anniversary season of Coca-Cola Field.
The downtown ballpark opened for business with a 1-0 win over the Denver Zephyrs on April 14, 1988. The 30th anniversary home opener will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017 with a 2:05 start against the defending Triple-A national champion Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.
The Bisons announced full start times for their 2017 schedule that was released at the end of their 2016 season. Night games in April and May will start at 6:05 before switching to a 7:05 first pitch in June. Sundays and weekday afternoons will remain at 1 p.m except for Opening day and the team's annual School Kids Day, a 10:35 a.m. start on June 1 against Toledo.
The popular fridaynightbash! series features 6:05 games on April 7 against Scranton and April 21 against Columbus before shifting to 7:05 on May 5 against Lehigh Valley.
Key promotions that will have 6:05 starts will be Star Wars Night (June 3 vs. Charlotte), the Independence Eve Celebration with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus (July 3 vs. Syracuse) and Superhero Night (August 19 vs. Gwinnett ).
Monday marked the opening of sales of four-packs for the three key promotions and 12-game flex packs. Prices remain unchanged for the third straight year for season tickets at $515 and $555.
