GRABOWSKI - Joseph W. Age 102, of Parkland, FL, formerly of Lackawanna, NY, passed peacefully on September 26, 2016 after a brief illness. Joe was born on December 8, 1913 in Buffalo, NY to the late Walter and Adela (Parzych) Grabowski. In the 1930-40's, Joe was a popular fast softball pitcher on men's leagues in and around Buffalo. He was nicknamed "Bing" by many friends for his smooth singing voice and golf swing. Joe's passion for golf culminated as a scratch golfer winning many local tournaments and shooting his age at 87 years young. From 1935-2010, Joe was an active Independent Insurance Agent for 75 years along with his position as a Worker's Compensation Investigator for the Law Department for the City of Buffalo, retiring after 25 years. Joe was predeceased by Jessie (nee Klupp) his beloved wife of 65 years; brother, Stanley Grabowski; sisters, Henrietta Tomaka and Rita Van Pyrz (Peter). Those left to cherish his memory are his loving son and daughter-in-law, Damian and Gayle Grabowski; granddaughter, Melissa "Missy" (Jason) Hall, and dear friend and caregiver, Danielle St. Charles, along with several nieces, nephews and cousins. Family will be present to receive friends Tuesday, October 4, 2016 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the (Hamburg Chapel) JOHN J. KACZOR FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5453 Southwestern Blvd. (corner of Rogers Rd. 646-5555) where Funeral Services will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment Lakeside Memorial Cemetery. Share condolences at
