NIAGARA FALLS – Family & Children’s Service Niagara is coordinating the third annual DV Ribbon Walk beginning at 4:30 p.m. Thursday.
The event, which coincides with Domestic Violence Awareness Month, gets underway at Main and Third streets. Purple ribbons will be tied around trees between Main and Niagara streets. Marchers are being asked to wear purple. Immediately after the Ribbon Walk, an exhibit of art by residents of Passage House, the domestic violence shelter in Niagara Falls, will be open to the public at Wine on Third, 501 Third St. The theme is “Journeys of Self-Nurture and Pinwheels for Peace.” The exhibit will be on display through mid-October.
