A Buffalo police officer who moonlights as a professional photographer isn’t going to win any artistic awards from department brass for a picture he took of a partially naked woman posing with his department-issued gun and uniform.
The officer has claimed the image, taken at his studio, was private and never intended to be made public.
But that explanation has not given him a pass. A police source said he has been brought up on departmental charges of misconduct and faces a disciplinary hearing in the coming days.
Police officials declined to comment but issued a brief statement:
“The department has been aware. An internal investigation was opened some time ago by the Internal Affairs Division.”
