Three crashes involving 10 vehicles happened on the Niagara Thruway on Wednesday morning just as the morning rush was getting started, according to State Police.
The crashes happened in the area of the southbound North Grand Island bridge, as well as near the Buffalo Avenue exit off Interstate-190 in Niagara Falls, State Police said.
The first crash was reported at 7:13 a.m.
There were two crashes each involving four vehicles, and another two-vehicle crash, police said.
No injuries were reported in any of the crashes, which caused major backups.
The scenes were all cleared as of 7:48 a.m., State Police said.
Troopers handled two of the crashes, with Erie County Sheriff’s deputies responding to one of the four-vehicle crashes.
