Rob Krajewski, the golf pro at the Orchard Park Country Club, eagled the par-5 18th hole Tuesday at Harvest Hill Golf Center to win the OMEGA-Western New York PGA Tour championship.
The eagle on the 36th hole of the tournament gave Krajewski a one-stroke victory over Dwayne Randall of Peek’n Peak resort. Randall shot 76 on Tuesday after a black tee course record 64 on Monday. Krajewski shot 72 in the second round after a 5-under par 67. It was his first championship in the event.
Thirty WNYPGA professionals qualified to play for the championship either by winning an event this season or their ranking on the points list.
Bobby Hogan (Niagara Frontier) finished ninth with 75-75-150. Tim Fries (Transit Valley) was 11th with 74-77-151. Five time winner Lon Nielsen (Orchard Park) tied for 17th at 78-78-156 .
