For the 39th time overall and first since 2013, the Little Three Championship belongs to the St. Bonaventure golf team.
The Bonnies shot a team score of 735 to win by 33 strokes over Canisius (768) while Niagara came in third at 793 in the 63rd playing of the tournament and first ever at the par-71, 6,338-yard Springville Country Club.
David Hanes of Canisius took medalist honors with 76-66-139, to win by four shots over Bona junior Corey Long (70-73-143). Hanes earns a berth into this summer’s Porter Cup with the victory.
Daniel Weimer was Niagara’s low scorer with 75-73-148, good for fifth place.
