Bison French Onion Chip Dip was named New York's best dairy dip after a statewide competition.
Duh, Western New Yorkers said.
The dip, so beloved in Western New York it's sold at the airport as a gift for those who can't get a steady supply, beat out seven competitors at the New York State Fair in Syracuse.
“For generations, no party, picnic or sporting event has been complete without the presence of Bison French Onion Dip, and we’re excited to see the soaring popularity of one of our newest offerings, Bison Bacon French Onion Dip,” Mark Serling, marketing chief for its maker, Upstate Niagara Cooperative, said in a press release. “Bison Dips have had a huge, enthusiastic fanbase for years, and it’s gratifying to see the judges agree with what consumers already know.”
The company, owned by member dairy farms, has been offering dairy products to Western New York since 1965.
