Arson suspected after two vehicles torched in Niagara Falls

NIAGARA FALLS – A van and an SUV were torched in a Pine Avenue parking lot early Tuesday morning, according to a city police report.

Police and firefighters were called at about 3:50 a.m. to 2901 Pine.

The fire, which appeared intentionally set, started in the front passenger seat of one of the vehicles. The fire then spread to the other vehicle, according to the report.

An employee at a business across the street saw smoke and called 911.

Both vehicles appeared to be total losses, according to the report.
