Lockport gas station robbed Tuesday morning

LOCKPORT – A man with a scarf around his face robbed a South Transit Road gas station early Tuesday, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office said.

The robber had his hand in his pocket but did not display a weapon when he held up the Sunoco at 5985 South Transit at 4:33 a.m., the sheriff’s office said.

The suspect was described as a white male, 5-foot-8 with a thin build. He was wearing grey jeans, a dark-colored hoodie, a blue beanie-type hat and white sneakers.

He fled from the store on foot heading eastbound towards Robinson Road with an unspecified amount of cash, the sheriff’s office said.
