A late-night fire at a LaSalle Avenue home on Monday caused $70,000 damage, according to fire officials.
The fire was reported about 10:43 p.m. and by 11:07 p.m. the fire, which had been limited to a second-floor bedroom and hallway, was reported under control, according to fire officials.
Damage to the 1 1/2-story building at 127 LaSalle Ave. was listed by the Buffalo Fire Department as $40,000 to the building and $30,000 to contents.
The Red Cross was providing temporary housing and aid for four adults and three children in the wake of the fire.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
