In another time, comedian, writer and actor Brian Posehn would be considered a renaissance man, and upon his canvas would be the world’s greatest fart jokes. He returns to Helium Comedy Club in Buffalo for a two-night stint Sept. 30 and Oct. 1.
As a stand-up comic, Posehn headlined clubs across the country after gaining a new audience with the “Comedians of Comedy” tour with Patton Oswalt, Maria Bamford and Zack Galifianakis. His latest stand-up album, "Criminally Posehn," is now available digitally. He’s also popped up in dozens of television shows and movies, such as “Seinfeld,” “Friends” and “The Devil’s Rejects.”
His hardcore interest in comic books and heavy metal has led to work in those fields as well. Posehn previously worked as a writer for Marvel’s “Deadpool,” and original graphic novels like “The Last Christmas.” He also wrote an episode of the Adult Swim series, “Metalocalypse,” and recorded several songs with his all-star metal band.
Posehn will perform twice nightly at 7:30 and 10 p.m. on Sept. 30 and Oct. 1 in Helium Comedy Club (30 Mississippi St.). Tickets range from $20 to $25 and can be purchased at buffalo.heliumcomedy.com.
