The building, which currently houses UB’s School of Architecture and Planning, has had multiple uses since its construction in the late 1870s as an insane asylum. Gauges on the Holly Steam Pumps at the Col. Francis G. Ward Pumping Station on Porter Ave, in Buffalo, N.Y. , on Saturday Sept. 17, 2016, highlighted. Built by the Holly Manufacturing Co., Buffalo N.Y. in 1914, still complete and intact but taken offline in the late 70's early 80's. Historic Reflection: The Buffalo History Museum building was originally built by architect George Cary in 1901 as the New York State Building for the Pan-American Exposition.
