A Loring Avenue man was arrested Saturday morning by Northeast District police and charged with stealing 180 hydrocodone pills from a man at knifepoint.
Curtis Colkey, 55, was apprehended at a home on Kensington Avenue, about a block from the robbery scene on Monticello Place, and was identified by the victim, police said. He was charged with robbery, assault, harassment, petit larceny and criminal possession of a weapon.
The Monticello Place resident said he let Colkey and another man into his home at about 5:45 a.m., and they jumped him and stole his cellphone as well as the pills, police said. In the struggle, the homeowner suffered bruises and swelling around his left eye and on his lip, police added.
