Buffalo man had stun gun during City of Tonawanda bar fight, police say

A Buffalo man wanted in two counties on assault charges faces a felony weapons possession charge after a bar fight in the City of Tonawanda this week.

Sean Trefethen, 23, of Breckenridge Street, had a stun gun in his possession when officers broke up a fight on Main Street in front of Stamps Bar at about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday, City of Tonawanda police said.

The fight began inside the bar and moved out into the street, according to police.

The weapons charge was elevated to a felony because Trefethen was convicted of assault with a weapon in 2011, police said. Outstanding warrants for assault charges were also in place out of Erie and Portage counties, police said.
