Voters ought to reject Trump’s hateful rhetoric
While Donald Trump is not responsible for the types of people and organizations supporting him, it does say something about the appeal of his message to extreme right-wing groups. Case in point: Richard Spencer, who identifies himself as a “racialist,” recently spoke at a values conference where he discussed an American utopia that would include white Europeans but not Jews; and where he also objected to the words in the Declaration of Independence: “all men are created equal.”
What they must see in Trump is an ally of their cause: to make America white and exclude minorities and Jews. How a Jew or a Christian can be attracted to this racist con man is beyond my ability to imagine. So, please, when voting in November, remember who you are voting for and choose decency versus malignancy.
