The Southtowns Family YMCA will host free fitness classes Saturday open to both members and nonmembers.
Those interested in visiting the Y, 1620 Southwestern Blvd. in West Seneca, are welcome to try the following:
Launch of Body Pump Release ’99: 9 to 10 a.m. Get lean, build strength, and tone muscle with this high-energy workout.
TRX straps: 9 to 9:45 a.m. Resistance-style workout for the whole family.
Cardio Kickboxing: 10:15 to 11:15 a.m. The “Rock Star Crew” will teach martial arts moves combined with a fast-paced cardio workout.
Boot camp: 11:30 to 12:30 p.m. Chelsey Pollutro will lead a hard-core boot camp workout fit for any level.
Barre: 11:55 to 12:50 p.m. Kristin Wittmeyer will guide visitors through dance-based moves to help sculpt and tone.
Cycling: 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. Spin workout to music.
Hatha yoga: 12:55 to 1:50 p.m. Take it down a notch and join as Sue Kincaid takes you on a physical and mental journey using fundamental yoga moves and breathing techniques.
YMCA personal trainers also will be on the Wellness Floor to provide tips on safe, effective, and fun workout ideas. The branch dietitian will make smoothies and hand out materials about eating healthy, and there will be physical fitness challenges and giveaways.
