Tevens to retire as Columbus McKinnon CEO

Timothy T. Tevens, who has been Columbus McKinnon Corp.’s top executive for the past 18 years, plans to retire after the Amherst material handling equipment maker completes its ongoing search for a successor.

The company has hired consultant Korn Ferry to help with its search for Tevens replacement, said Ernest R. Verebelyi, Columbus McKinnon’s chairman.

Tevens, 60, has been Columbus McKinnon’s president and CEO since 1998, started working at the company since 1991 after spending 11 years as a management consultant at accounting firm Ernst & Young.
