A Williamsville woman was arraigned in Erie County Court Thursday morning on a felony drug charge for allegedly receiving marijuana through the mail.
Amber M. Bauman, 46, pleaded not guilty to criminal possession of more than 10 pounds of marijuana, a Class C felony, and to the misdemeanor charge of having more than two ounces of the drug.
According to a prosecutor, the activity appeared to be domestic. A package containing 10 pounds of pot was mailed from another state to Bauman’s home address through the U.S. Postal Service.
Bauman was released on her own recognizance and is scheduled back in court Oct. 26.
