Kaleida Health and Cancer Care of Western New York (CCWNY) have partnered with New Era Cap Co. and the Buffalo Bills to create a custom Buffalo Bills cap to benefit prostate cancer research.
The custom hats can be purchased at the Buffalo Bills store at New Era Field and online at buffalobills.com for $20 each; all proceeds will go to the Prostate Cancer Awareness Fund at the Kaleida Health Foundation.
New Era donated the caps and $10,000 to the fund to support prostate cancer research and bring awareness to this potentially deadly disease. The Bills agreed to match the cap sales with a donation of their own.
It is estimated that one of every 10 American men will develop prostate cancer before the age of 85.
“The fight against cancer is a cause that’s very personal to me and one that New Era is fully dedicated to supporting throughout our community,” said Christopher Koch, president and CEO of New Era. “We’re proud to be a partner with Kaleida Health and the Buffalo Bills to bring awareness and funding to this specific initiative and those battling prostate cancer.”
The Buffalo Bills home opener on Thursday will feature a promotional segment encouraging fans to purchase a hat to support the Prostate Cancer Awareness Fund.
