The $200,000 worth of streetscape improvements to West Main Street in Lancaster is underway, but installation of antique street lighting is delayed and not expected to be completed until sometime in October.
There is a short delay because the street lamps were unavailable, Village Trustee William Schroeder said.
The project - which also featurs park benches, stamped decorative concrete sidewalks and new curbing to complement the 2003 Central Avenue streetscape redo - was supposed to have been completed by mid-summer.
Village officials this week assured the public that all the work will be done later this fall.
“It’s a big step and it’s going to look nice,” Schroeder said. “This is a win win.”
