A South Buffalo bar fight over the weekend ended with a woman getting stabbed, Buffalo police said.
The victim, Cheryl Kerwin, 39, of Hobart Avenue, told police she was in a Seneca Street bar Saturday when she got into an altercation with another woman, according to police reports. The police report did not indicate the time of the altercation.
The other woman slashed the victim with a razor knife, causing a six-inch cut on her throat, police said. Another bar patron took the victim to Mercy Hospital, before she was taken to Erie County Medical Center to undergo surgery.
Kerwin was listed in stable condition at ECMC on Sunday. It was unclear Sunday whether police have made an arrest in the case.
