Buffalo police raid results in seized drugs, weapons

Ninety bags of heroin were seized by Buffalo police detectives in a raid on a Lakeview Avenue apartment late Thursday afternoon, according to Buffalo police on Friday.

Buffalo Narcotics Squad detectives also seized three stolen firearms, over $5,500 in cash, quantities of crack cocaine and marijuana and drug packaging material in the raid, according to Buffalo police.

Chief of Detectives Dennis J. Richards said the raid, led by Sgt. Timothy Mulhern, comes as the latest in a crackdown on drug dealing in the city’s lower West Side.

During the raid, detectives also seized a .40 caliber pistol, a .22-caliber rifle and a 12-gauge shotgun, all previously reported stolen, according to the Buffalo police.

Arrested on felony charges of criminal possession of controlled substances, stolen property and possession of loaded weapons were Katherine Andino, 32, Michelle Quinones Andino, 38, Erick Quinones, 16, and David Torres, 21, according to the Buffalo police late Friday.

All four individuals remained in custody at the Erie County Holding Center on Friday night.
