A North Tonawanda man who wanted a late-night snack faces petit larceny and trespassing charges.
The man was caught early Friday munching on a piece of barbecued meat he stole from a restaurant’s outdoor cooker, according to City of Tonawanda police.
Donald G. Attanasio, 47, was spotted walking from the back of Smoke on the Water on Young Street at about 3:15 a.m., police said.
He was taking bites out of a barbecued pork shoulder.
Attanasio, of South Lane, admitted he took the meat for a “snack,” according to police.
Police determined the restaurant employees forgot to padlock the cooker.
Attanasio was released by police with an appearance ticket.
