Law firm Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP is expanding its office network with two new locations in Canada and New York City in response to growth in its client base.
The Buffalo-based law firm, which first expanded eastward to Albany nearly a year ago, said it has opened offices in Burlington, Ont., and on Madison Avenue in Manhattan. The firm said the expansion is part of its “strategy to grow beyond its Western New York base.”
The firm’s Canadian Cross-Border Practice Group, with over a dozen attorneys, helps Canadian companies and professional partners in law and accounting with U.S. transactions and activities. That includes forming and structuring business entities, administering estates and trusts, and handling corporate, intellectual property, litigation, mergers, real estate, private equity, contracts and securities matters.
In New York City, more than half a dozen attorneys from Buffalo will work out of the new office to handle client matters in the firm’s 20 practice areas.
In all, the firm has nearly 60 attorneys.
