Jamestown woman charged with setting her own home on fire

JAMESTOWN – A Jamestown woman has been charged with setting her own home on fire earlier this year, according to police.

Debrah M. Miller, 34, was indicted by a Chautauqua County grand jury on a second-degree arson charge for the fire, Jamestown police said.

The blaze at an occupied home 303 Crescent St., happened at about 3:50 p.m. May 30.

The charge follows an investigation by police and the Jamestown Fire Department.

Authorities took Miller into custody earlier this week, police said Thursday. She was arraigned and remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail on $20,000 bail.
