George W. Collins, Jr. a senior litigation partner at Bouvier Law LLP in Buffalo has been selected for inclusion in the 2017 edition of “The Best Lawyers in America.” Selection is based on peer-review assessment and honors the top 4 percent of legal talent in the United States. He has also been re-elected to a fifth consecutive, three-year term as a member of the board of directors at the Boys and Girls Club of Buffalo.


Amanda Kelkenberg was named CEO of Child Care Resource Network; she was promoted from her previous position as director of Community Outreach Assessment.


Kathleen Kiblin was hired as Education and Training Specialist at Child Care Resource Network.

CB Schottland, owner of the local Fish Window Cleaning, was recognized for top sales at the annual Fish Window Cleaning Convention in St. Louis.


The Dollar General Literacy Foundation announced the award of local literacy grants to area organizations to support youth literacy. Local grant recipients include: Research Foundation for SUNY/Buffalo State, Peace Of The City Ministries, Cheektowaga Central School District, Hamburg Central School District, Tonawanda City School District.


The Community Foundation for Greater Buffalo recently named Kaleida Health and its “Survivor Steps” Cancer Rehab and Recovery program a recipient of a grant created to carry on Ralph C. Wilson Jr.’s legacy of giving and visionary leadership. Kaleida Health received an award of $13,145 to purchase a Biodex Balance System.
