Members of the Guide Dog Users of the Empire State will be able to attend the annual New York State conference of the American Council of the Blind in Buffalo next month as officially chartered members of the national group.
Earlier this year, the guide dog organization was accepted as the ninth chapter of the American Council of the Blind of New York and will be presented with its charter at a banquet during the conference Oct. 21 to Oct. 23 in the Holiday Inn, 620 Delaware Ave. The conference will be hosted by the American Council of the Blind of Western New York.
“We are so excited to finally be offering a workshop and membership meeting during the state convention,” says Annie Chiappetta, president of Guide Dog User of the Empire State.
