Stop transporting students and commotion will stop
Here we go again: Every year as the students of the University at Buffalo return for fall classes we hear of the off-campus bedlam occurring in the University Heights neighborhood.
Local television stations are covering it, along with The Buffalo News, wondering what can be done to stop it. I have a simple solution: stop offering free transportation from the Amherst Campus!
Why does UB encourage this by providing a means to an end? Most students are underage and unable to frequent local bars, thus providing revenue to our local economy.
How long before Buffalo city officials hold UB accountable for the damage and duress its citizens have to endure year in and year out?
