Buffalo man accused of threatening Tonawanda woman

Willie J. Brown IV, 30, was arrested at his Genesee Street home Friday afternoon and accused of making threats against a City of Tonawanda woman.

Brown is being held on charges of criminal mischief, endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree harassment.

The woman told Tonawanda police that afer a long-standing dispute, Brown forced his way into her Tussing Lane home as she was holding her young child.

The woman said he pushed her into a door, damaged the door and then slashed a living room couch with a knife, police said. The woman said he also threatened her as she screamed for help.

Because of the threats of violence and the long holiday weekend coming up, Tonawanda police decided they couldn’t wait for a judge to issue an arrest warrant so they they enlisted the assistance of Buffalo police to take Brown into custody, Tonawanda City Police Captain Fredric Foel said.
