After victories over Daemen and Canisius to open the season, the University at Buffalo men’s soccer team recorded its highest ranking ever in the National Soccer Coaches Association Regional Rankings. UB is No. 5 in the Great Lakes Region. The previous high was No. 9 last season.
Senior Russell Cicerone of the Bulls leads the nation with five goals and 12 points after his UB record performance – five goals, 11 points – in a 9-0 win over Daemen.
The Bulls return to the UB Stadium pitch at 10 a.m. on Friday to face Stony Brook. They will host Incarnate at 11 a.m. on Sunday in the first match of a doubleheader with the UB women’s team (2-2-1) which will play Navy at 1:30 p.m.
