Don’t let the summer end without one more party of music and food at the Taste of Niagara Falls, on Labor Day weekend from noon to 8 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday on Old Falls Street.
The second annual event by Corey McGowan Productions is planning to be even bigger than last year with nearly 30 restaurants expected. A wide variety of choices will be available - from pizza, burgers and barbecue to more adventurous ethnic fare and desserts.
The two-day food festival, hosted by the Old Falls Street Association, is also a chance to sample favorites from classic Niagara Falls restaurants, as well as some of the up and coming new restaurants in the area.
“We worked with Corey McGowan Productions to bring this event to Old Falls Street for the first time last summer,” said Katie Kielaszek, Old Falls Street director of events.
“It was so well received, we made sure to bring it back this year,” she said.
Food sample tickets will be sold at the entrance to the event at 101 Old Falls St.
The music line up will include Marks Smith from noon to 3 p.m.; Ed Wyner at 3 p.m. and Just Us from 6 to 8 p.m. on Saturday.
On Sunday, Mark Smith will be back to lead off the line up, followed by the Steve Balesteri Duo at 3 p.m. and the Skyline Duo from 6 to 8 p.m.
