Historic Cotter fireboat is a precious landmark
As the retired captain of 30 years of the Edward M. Cotter, I want the people of Buffalo to realize this fireboat was designated a historic landmark of Buffalo by the Library of Congress of the United States of America. This designation was proudly and lovingly originated, obtained, secured and signed by myself with the Library of Congress.
This designation explicitly specified that the U.S. government is responsible for funding the cost of the Cotter. With the support of the mayor, this should be acknowledged and accomplished to maintain the life of this precious landmark, because she protected life and property in the Buffalo area for over 100 years.
