TOWN OF NIAGARA -- A Lewiston man was recently accused of assaulting an automobile repair shop worker, town police said.
Police accused Earl S. Erwin, 51, of Upper Mountain Road, of punching and head-butting the victim on Aug. 22 at the Saunders Settlement Road shop because he was upset about the amount the victim had charged Erwin’s mother for a car repair. The victim also told police that Erwin threatened to return the next day and “”break his legs’’ if his mother’s money was not returned.
Police said they arrested Erwin at a tavern next to the repair shop. He was issued an appearance ticket requiring he appear in court Sept. 12. The charge lodged against Erwin was not available.
